Recent Finds

A few recent bits and pieces...

Huge drawstring bag.. just like my Mum used to make.. (scrabble pieces, puzzles etc were stored in them..) 50c
I haven't just bought this - I just FOUND it in a bag of stuff here!
Had it for years.. Still technically a 'recent find!'
kitsch wall plate with a bit of bizarre hand painting over-layed! 20c

This is ceramic and is actually a pencil sharpener! About 10cm high. 50c

Australiana calendar tea towels, obviously..

VERY cool soft but sturdy plastic set.. These were in those banana boxes worth of stuff I got at a garage sale the other week...
I LOVE old christmas kitsch. I just think it looks so much better in the box!
I wish the shop workers wouldn't write the prices on the boxes though!!

Yeh this isn't a recent find really.. I got him 5 months ago.. He's looking especially delectable in his yellow rain poncho..

Another gratuitous Arlo photo. I could eat him all up he's getting so cute!!

Yay there's a high coming over up here in Hamil-vegas, NZ!

Happy Days!

You find cool stuff! Love the fabric of that bag, and I like the orange plastic set. Price stickers on the front of things which you can't get off are a real pet peeve...
Arlo looks like he's ready to go fishing on the high seas! Cutie pie! xxx

Really great finds!
I agree HOW MADDENING it is when they scrawl prices on vintage boxes... *UHGGGG*

I would never have known they were tea towels! ;-D I'm on the look out for ones with recipes on, I'm going to make a door curtain for my kitchen, like a hanging recipe book....not to be confused with the hanging gardens of Babylon because that is completely different!

Arlo is very cute in his little fisherman's jacket and you got some great finds. I love the material of your drawstring bag and trousers. I remember my mum making those drawstring bags back in the 70s. xx

I've always wanted one of those rainbow xylophones, not sure why, I think there was a picture of one in a book when I was very small. The plate is the most amazing thing ever, I want it. And I love the pencil sharpener, I've got a similar one somewhere. Arlo is very cute indeed, that mini sou'wester is adorable
