Collection Selection Link Up - HOUSE FULL!

I thought for this week's Collection Selection I couldn't possibly go past this Houseful of Collections
that I was incredibly privileged to visit.

The owners have collected
and I mean
C.O.L.L.E.C.T.E.D.
for years.

After visiting
I felt like I needed
a cup of tea and a bit of a lie-down.

It was unbelieveable.

I had permission to photograph, but I was so overwhelmed I did a crappy job of it.
It was
AWESOME!!!
Total highlight.
+ really lovely guy I could have talked to/listened to for hours/days/weeks
He had a story about everything.

This is about a 10th of the vintage radio collection.
Cameras.
And awesome wallpaper.

Some of the Bakelite NZ radios that wallpapered a room.

Nearly every wall had wonderful shelving units that housed the most mind-blowing collections I've ever seen in one spot!
Avon Perfume Bottles.
Salt & Pepper sets.
Crown Lynn Vases.
More cool wallpaper and picture mirrors
(I LOVE those things)
I was particularly enamored with the little birds I saw here and there..
DROOL

I hope these collections go to a museum one day.
Such a fabulous experience.

Next week I'll be back to my own, rather less substantial, collections!!!!

OMG and WOW!!!! I understand how you felt the need for a lie down, how A-MAZ-ING!!! Totally should go to a museum, and worth a fortune in so many ways. I must admit I kept thinking how long it would take to do the dusting, eeekkkk!!!! Houseworkphobic is I.

That is a lot of momey spent, what fun they must have had hunting for all that stuff!

I'm lost for words....not like me! I'd love to have a closer peek at the Avon Bottles, we had loads of Avon in the 70s! :) x

Wowzers that is unbelievable. I'm rather gobsmacked and lost for words. Did they let you bring home a souvenir lol?

The first thing I thought of too was shit imagine dusting that lot! I've got a bit of a thing for embroidered linen, not sure of I'm a collector or just a hoarder lol

Good God. That's a collection and a half isn't it? So well ordered too (how unlike any collection of mine!). Yeah, I was thinking "museum" too. xx

There is so much awesomeness there! I would love to have one of the Bakelite radios in my home. I'm always on the look out for one. Luckily, I'm married to an electrical engineer who knows how to fix things so they don't need to be working.

Whoa. Whoa. Am not sure what to say about their collections. Amazing!! I recognised some of those Avon perfume bottles from when I was little, my Mother has used Avon her whole life. Brought back some forgotten memories.
