Op SHopperoony

Cute applique on an apron - I am flinging this on the sewing pile in the hopes that I can transform it into part of a skirt at some stage. ..

These actually made me really excited. You may not all share my joy of homemade drawstring bags!!! I think it's a nostalgic thing for me - Mum used to make them a lot and they housed scrabble pieces, sindy doll clothes, puzzle and game bits etc...
I found a large banana box full at the oppies. All obviously never been used - and I wonder what they had been intended for.. I picked out my favs. and paid next to nothing.
My eye was drawn to this fabric.

VERY exciting - remember when houses had large photo murals on feature walls?! SO cool. Quite kitsch, but y'all know I love me some kitsch!!! These are brand new and HUGE (4 panels)

A topical collectable tea towel.. The Silver Jubilee in 1977.

I picked up these little cute swan sisters for 50c. I like them a lot.

Happy Days!

(COllection Post incl a giveaway coming up in a couple of days!!)

I love seeing your op shopped finds....I never quite know what you'll show us next. How gorgeous is that applique, it definitely deserves to be featured on a skirt. The kitsch swans reminded me of Vix. And those fabric bags are super sweet. Xx

All those bags! Someone couldn't stop making them, even though they weren't being used, that's rather poignant...
Great fabrics though.
Love the swans, and are you going to use the mural pics? Go on, you know you want to! xxx

I remember making draw bags for my lads when they were small. They had lined ones for there swimming gear, unlined for the library. I love bags, boxes and containers!!!

It was massive and rather unseemly! mountain streams and waterfalls in the middle of a birmingham terrace!
