(Yes, I generally throw my own style on them, slightly kitsch, colourful, simple and with lots of love!

 I don't go for straight lines and I don't like a very contrived -looking style..)

I was stoked to find these trees at the dump op shop = perfect for Iris's party!

Lovely Day for a Party..

 Iris wanted to invite every child from kindy, every child from playgroup, every cousin, every one of her siblings' friends etc.. I had to limit it - she is a social butterfly..

So we had a little backyard gathering for assorted pixies, fairies and ladybugs..

The weather yesterday was very spring-like.

Perfect!

Needless to say, everything you see in the photos (apart from the lovely children of course) is thrifted or handmade...
except the toadstools - I hired them from sweetcheeks (I like to support local small businesses, and it's essential to have a toadstool or 2 at a fairy party isn't it?!)

(sidenote: I got to have cuddles with this gorgeous teeny fairy - she is our little next-door-neighbour and she was 800g when she was born! She is now 4 months old and so adorable)

Parcel of Cool

John and I were blown away the other day when a parcel arrived for Arlo and Iris..

We had just been talking about how these days quite often TIME  is such a major commodity in busy lives..

So how amazed were we to receive this from the lovely Gabrielle ..

(one of my top fave blogs- she has got quite possibly the funkiest little guys you'll see and another one arriving any day! Not to mention 2 gorgeous girls.. see what I'm saying about TIME?! )

Not your regular Friday Night

Thank you for the thoughts for Iris - she is fine.. Some antibiotics eventually did the trick. Must have been a nasty bug.

Phew. Exhausting stuff though!

SO here are a few more snaps of Dennis's 60th party, at one of the lovely old theatres here in Hamz. As well as a party there were a couple of bouts of diva-ish entertainment, which made for a fab evening. It was brilliant.

Friday's Frock

This was me at the party on Friday night....

It was my great friend Dennis's 60th..

SUCH a fun night.. 

I had this post half done but ended up with a busy weekend so didn't finish it..


(And now I'm sitting here on Sunday 11.30 pm
feeling gutted because Iris has just gone to hospital with a raging UTI..
She has been spiking 41s and vomiting intermittently for 24 hours..

She is with her daddy..)
